Dr. Simone Morselli
About Me
My name is Simone Morselli and I was born in Mirandola (MO) in 1989. I studied Medicine and Surgery in Modena and I graduated in July 2014 with the vote of 110/110 cum laude. I subsequently obtained the license to practice medicine in February 2015. I specialized in Urology in Florence on 05/11/2020 with a grade of 70/70 cum laude, under the school of Professor Marco Carini, Professor Sergio Serni and Professor Andrea Minervini. During my residency I was interested in Robotic Urological Surgery, both for prostate and kidney cancer, as well as the rest of urological pathologies, including bladder and upper excretory tract cancer and Endourology, with all the related treatments for benign prostatic hypertrophy and stones. I have also cultivated an interest in urogynecology and urodynamics together with Professor Aldo Tosto and Dr. Vincenzo Li Marzi. I am member of the main national and European urological scientific societies, namely SIU, EAU, SIURO and SIUD. I am also author of more than 30 scientific publications indexed in journals in the urological field ranging from oncology to benign pathology, in which I have often collaborated with Dr. Mauro Gacci, a member of the panel of the European Guidelines of Urology. I am currently a PhD student in Clinical Sciences at the University of Florence and I work as a freelance surgeon at the European Urological Center (C.Ur.E.) together with Professor Giovanni Ferrari.
